Well, I am not a “very good editor”. So I can only offer a my personal impressions in good faith. For whatever it’s worth, this was my experience:
—Sentences are at times so lengthy and complex that the point becomes lost or uncertain to one who does not know your stance from the start. The long sentences feel like too much work after a while and we just think it’s not worth it; we have too much other reading or wirk to tend to.
—Style does not mimick strict journalism consistently, yet the summary gives the impression that it would be.
—Content is sometimes so similar to the—granted absurd—narrative that we get in the news these days that we who are not familiar with you become frustrated with not being able to tell for sure whether you’re being straight or satirical.
Having reread it after knowing for sure your intention, I don’t suffer from the above difficulties any more. That was my experience as a new reader.

The Ralph Nader documentary from the early 2000’s first opened my eyes about how controlled is the process of who gets to participate in debates. Next came Ron Paul who opened my eyes to how difficult it is for an independent (unaffiliated) candidate to get on all of the ballots in every state. (Read: impossible.) And, finally, it took Bernie Sanders to open my eyes to the great democratic process of “superdelegates,” those “extra special and important” people who made sure that he would not secure the nomination of his party, as was desired by “the plebs.”

This is a great essay that exposes the truth behind why we can't get a third party movement going here on the ground. I've long been writing about the needs for a third party system, but fear has kept the American people inline. Fear of the other. It's terrible really. I thought Kennedy would be the chance we needed, not to win the election, but break the electoral college. If neither Biden nor Trump gets 270 votes, then a statement has been made. The red v blue thing doesn't scare us. We're ready for change. Kennedy is the biggest brand name we've had in the Independent world, he really had a chance. Sadly, given the pains to get on the ballot in my state so far (Illinois) I won't get to vote for him. A write-in won't cut it. So I have to start considering the other two, or if I bother to vote at all.
Also, I do agree with many here who say that Kennedy's acceptance of Israel's response in Gaza is hurting him in the polls. There was a chance to pull away in many of those states, but I think he's lost that chance. Such a shame. It may be the difference between a complete military state/future for our country and one of rebuilding and domestic growth. It's heartbreaking. Truly.
It was very late at night when I first read this article and my reaction was negative and knee-jerk as the saying goes. As I was terribly disappointed by what I thought I read critically, I wrote to unsubscribe from further articles by Dr. Setty. Amazingly he responded before I could turn off my computer and in one short sentence replied: "The article is satirical". I realized very quickly that what I thought I read was indeed NOT his intent! The next day I read it while wide awake and with the understanding that it was satire. I apologized in another email to Dr. Setty, who I believe is an excellent writer, and began to wonder how many other people read the article, perhaps not truly half-asleep but with half their brain completely engaged. This proves the point that sometimes we react without really having investigated something thoroughly. I have read many of Dr. Setty's articles and find him to be not only a good writer but a person whose thoughts about life are very close to my own. I am presently reading his book, WOKE, and am discovering a richness of thought that appears to be absent in our present day. Thank you Madhava for your comments on the life we all share. You bring up something very important: complacency is a tendency that exists on both sides. Complacency leads to one of the biggest impediments to clarity, confirmation bias.
Satire (and related mood of humour) is a critical quality in these days, when many people's brains have been kind of weakened in a way, that they are not able to deal with opposing or controversial opinions in a rational way - but rather break out into demonising and slandering ....
The suppression of Kennedy's campaign feels like the ultimate flex. Kudos to the status quo which marches on despite so many of the electorate no longer believing in any of the mythology that is holding it all together. One day I'm sure they won't be able to suppress the urge to lay it all out in 'hollywood' scripts how it all was done. Probably when some other country has assumed the mantle of the world's leading super power.

Government spends 2x per student in public schools with respect to private ones and 3x at university level, with worse outcomes in all levels of education.
Time for a 100% voucher system, where parents can choose schools or earn the voucher money themselves if they homeschool (and their kids pass the exams), or through grand/parent/teacher coops.

The Ralph Nader documentary from the early 2000’s first opened my eyes about how controlled is the process of who gets to participate in debates. Next came Ron Paul who opened my eyes to how difficult it is for an independent (unaffiliated) candidate to get on all of the ballots in every state. (Read: impossible.) And, finally, it took Bernie Sanders to open my eyes to the great democratic process of “superdelegates,” those “extra special and important” people who made sure that he would not secure the nomination of his party, as was desired by “the plebs.”
Sanders is a fake too, and an evil totalitarian socialist in nothing but the false and fraudulent guise of a "utopian socialist".

This is a great essay that exposes the truth behind why we can't get a third party movement going here on the ground. I've long been writing about the needs for a third party system, but fear has kept the American people inline. Fear of the other. It's terrible really. I thought Kennedy would be the chance we needed, not to win the election, but break the electoral college. If neither Biden nor Trump gets 270 votes, then a statement has been made. The red v blue thing doesn't scare us. We're ready for change. Kennedy is the biggest brand name we've had in the Independent world, he really had a chance. Sadly, given the pains to get on the ballot in my state so far (Illinois) I won't get to vote for him. A write-in won't cut it. So I have to start considering the other two, or if I bother to vote at all.
Also, I do agree with many here who say that Kennedy's acceptance of Israel's response in Gaza is hurting him in the polls. There was a chance to pull away in many of those states, but I think he's lost that chance. Such a shame. It may be the difference between a complete military state/future for our country and one of rebuilding and domestic growth. It's heartbreaking. Truly.
It was very late at night when I first read this article and my reaction was negative and knee-jerk as the saying goes. As I was terribly disappointed by what I thought I read critically, I wrote to unsubscribe from further articles by Dr. Setty. Amazingly he responded before I could turn off my computer and in one short sentence replied: "The article is satirical". I realized very quickly that what I thought I read was indeed NOT his intent! The next day I read it while wide awake and with the understanding that it was satire. I apologized in another email to Dr. Setty, who I believe is an excellent writer, and began to wonder how many other people read the article, perhaps not truly half-asleep but with half their brain completely engaged. This proves the point that sometimes we react without really having investigated something thoroughly. I have read many of Dr. Setty's articles and find him to be not only a good writer but a person whose thoughts about life are very close to my own. I am presently reading his book, WOKE, and am discovering a richness of thought that appears to be absent in our present day. Thank you Madhava for your comments on the life we all share. The suppression of Kennedy's campaign feels like the ultimate flex. Kudos to the status quo which marches on despite so many of the electorate no longer believing in any of the mythology that is holding it all together. The way out of this mess:
1. Create an easy system for real money: private currencies/warrants based on real assets, goods, services, etc. (gold, corn, oil, distance/volume/weight transportation, labor human hour/minute, etc.)
