"This interaction is emblematic of the bigger problem. Democratic voters, in general, refuse to listen to any argument that isn’t curated by media that is highly biased towards their party while believing that they are voting from an informed position." This is the same problem we seem to have with the covid jab and mandate issue also, at least where I live. People refuse to look at anything but the carefully curated conversations.
You wrote that "plans to overthrow a legitimate Trump second term included using mail-in ballots appearing after election day to swing key states from Red to Blue"... But didn't they ACTUALLY DO that? Wouldn't things have swung for Trump if not for those late mail-in ballots??
I believe that Mike Benz is saying that they would have created a wave of fake ballots for Biden to throw the final results. They didn't do any of those things. My concern (and his) is that there were plans to do that if necessary.
They absolutely DID allow mail-in ballots turned in after Election Day to be counted. This is what is in dispute right now through multiple lawsuits, trying to firm up when a ballot can legally be accepted and when it is no longer valid. The 5th circuit just ruled in one state (can’t recall which) that ballots must be counted that arrive on or before Election Day, but not after - setting a hopeful precedent that may buoy similar rulings in other swing states that are sure to follow.
I think that was a matter of timing in 2020. They didn't need to that after the fact but rather already had it staged in swing states. Particularly Pennsylvania.
Sorry. I didn't read your comment correctly. I don't know if they actually did that. My most trusted source on election integrity is my friend Josh Mitteldorf, PhD who has done deep dives into election integrity for decades, believes that there is a good chance that Trump actually did worse than what the poll results were in 2020.
On the other hand, to my understanding his analysis was based in comparing exit poll results to the final outcome. Exit polling would have missed late mail in ballot votes. So, there is a possibility that the mail in ballots could have been used to turn the election. I simply don't know. What is concerning is that there elements in our government that are prepared to carry out a soft coup if necessary.
If Trump "actually did worse than what the poll results were" in 2020, this means that the mail-in votes were less pro-Trump than the live votes. And since they DID allow mail-in ballots turned in after Election Day to be counted, I am not seeing a reason not to assume that the first item in those 2024 "plans to overthrow a legitimate Trump election" was tried and proven effective in 2020.
Thanks for offering a very balanced take on that 3 hour conversation. I watched the whole thing too and agree that he was very knowledgeable and came across as very real. The omissions were… um, a bit weird. I have some concerns about DT/JDV but would love to be proven wrong now that they won.
It seems as you are all smitten over Vance, I guess you haven’t looked to deep into the whole picture, seems as if Vance gives you the neura ink you will fall for it and beyond, just because he presented a good picture in the Rogan show 🤔. Sorry not for me!
I am far from being smitten. I pointed out where I was disappointed in his understanding of issues and current events. I thought that he offered a coherent explanation of why he believed what he believed. I also appreciated the fact that he admitted ignorance when he was uninformed.
The point of this article was not to promote the GOP ticket. It was to clearly explain their platform to the other side who is intent on simply believing what their side is saying about their side.

I’m going to look for that Rogan/Stamets interview. I bet it’s great. Have you heard his show with Terrence Howard and Eric Weinstein?
