Love it. Also have to hold the moderators to task. When Kamala said, “The freedom to make decisions about one's own body should not be made by the government,” either Trump or the moderators should have said, “oh really? That’s interesting because…”

I would argue that you didn't really capture Trump's voice here. For example, he did say they'd thrown Biden out of the race like a dog. Classic Trump. He uses 4th grade reading level vocabulary. It's been analyzed as such. So for example, this paragraph of yours, "They closed down my account on Twitter. They cancelled my friend Bobby Kennedy’s account on Instagram and Joe Biden has put Tulsi Gabbard a former Democrat and Iraq War Veteran on a TSA Terrorist Watchlist because they didn’t like what we were saying." More Trumpish: "They cancelled me on Twitter. Twitter, can you believe it? Because they couldn't handle my "mean" Tweets. You know what else the Democrats can't handle? Strong women who speak their minds. Look at Tulsi, I mean she's a special woman, a Iraq War Veteran, a Lieutenant Colonel even. That's a very good rank. You know what those Democrats did to her? Put her on the Terrorist watch list. They have dogs sniffing her in airports. And she was once one of them. They will stop at nothing to silence us. Even a Kennedy can't get his name on their primary ballots. Is that fair? A Kennedy can't run for president because the Democrats don't like him? I know Bobby, he's a good guy, a great guy, one of the best. He really cares about America, just like I do, and his father was, you know, shot and killed. He died for America. But the Democrats don't care about that, because Bobby speaks his mind. We all do, me and Bobby and Tulsi, and we're going to some great things. I promise you. The best things. It will be like nothing you've ever seen. We're going to Make America Great Again."

I actually wonder if Trump is declining himself, at his age and all his travails. Seems like he can't think on his feet as fast anymore, and just seems like an old timer who keeps repeating the same old stories over and over at family gatherings. I also think he does mean well for the country, and realizes that he made a lot of mistakes his first time around, and that's why he reached out to Bobby. I can totally understand why he would decline any further "debates", but as you say, he is missing an opportunity, Kamala and company are clearly vulnerable on many points. I really shudder to think of another four years of the current power structure in place. Democracy on the ballot for sure this time. Just a final note, wouldn't you love to see Nicole take Kamala on?

Yes I would! Or Bobby of course. They are both in a different league in regard to the depth of their understanding. And I agree that Trump is declining too.

Nicole and her team have been on fire lately, batting out the cool videos. Have you seen her latest, MAGA people? https://twitter.com/i/status/1834626556657803747.

I think this strategy for the long term independent movement is brilliant. We need to address the real reason people keep voting Democrat...it's TDS. Or a complete fear of the "other" that blinds them to the pot of boiling water. I do think the same mind goes for the Covidian, and they tend to be the same people. If you start to chip away at that, expose that perhaps they are crazy, then others on the fence will start to wake up. At least, that's what I hope so that in the future, we may have a 3rd or 4th party even. Or a revolution within the Democratic party kinda like what the Tea Party movement did to the GOP. Woke them up.

At least that's what I hope. Show how absurd it is to despise the MAGA movement or believe in the Covidian fears and diffuse their power over the American narrative.

Oh yes, Nicole has more wits about her than Kamala does. AND if you have ever heard Nicole speak about what she holds most dear it is indeed inspiring. Purity just shines through that woman!

Well said. It amazes and disappoints me how many of my friends haven’t thought the ramifications of current governmental actions and policies through to their logical conclusions. They are making the same sort of mistake conservatives make when they want religion in schools and government-they think it will always be the one of their choosing. My friends were totally uncritical of the handling of the pandemic and their belief in authority and censorship left me gobsmacked

Nice! Your faux Trump speech rearranging his own words in his mouth. Rational-emotive therapy 101. Who knows if this kind of positive hypnotic suggestion can straighten his tie, smooth the hair lick, and inject his comic book image and mind with the dignity of a human being in the process of the kind of redemption you are wishing for and describing.

Madhava, I don't understand why you think of The Donald as a person you might address and reason with. He has given us no reason to believe he is trustworthy or even consistent in his positions from day to day. He is famously unwilling to listen to anyone.

I admit to harboring fantasies that Trump will be elected, that he'll cut off weapons to Ukraine and settle the war, that he'll empower RFK to create a national reckoning for the crimes of the COVID response, and to dig American healthcare out from under the domination of Big Pharma. But I recognize that these are dreams, and not a plan I would invest in.

I certainly don’t trust him for the same reasons you don’t. Neither has Kamala given us anything to go on. At this point all we can wish for is a discussion about the real problems we are confronted with so that the people can decide what is important. That’s not going to happen if trump doesn’t explain himself coherently or debate at all.

I wish you guys would get on board with Sam Husseini's strategy of Vote Pact. You must be familiar with it. Two voters who would normally cancel each other out by voting for opposing candidates agree to vote for a third party candidate of their choice instead. It is a civi and mathematically sound way to escape the awful "choices" foisted on us in the duopoly.

Spot on. And he is on the same wavelength as Harris on too many of all the other important issues.

The lesser evil at most.

And then, the whole thing has likely already been decided and settled, as your excellent recent piece demonstrated.

If not, I think he should go on Tucker and/or Rogan and those two should offer to do the same for Harris.

Harris won’t even answer questions coming off a plane. No way she’s sitting down with anyone for an unscripted conversation.

Good/even better. If DJT does it, Rogan/Tucker extend the invite to her and she refuses, she's officially the coward, not him anymore.

I dont hold out hope that the country is going to do a 180 under another four years of Trump. I think him coming back represents some resistance to the globalist plan and a little more time for more people to wake up to how the world actually works,or atleast realize that nothing in this world is what it seems. Certainly not what we are presented with from media outlets. Someone I follow says that we as a country are sick as our secrets , secrets like JFK and RFK murders, 911, Oklahoma, USS Liberty, Gulf of Tonkin, the list is long, and until we come to grips with truth of these and other events we cant move forward in a productive way. One could equate this to having an Archimedian point of reference , a reliable place from which to reason. Without this ,any conclusions reached are false, invalid.

I don't know how I got this substack in my email but let me say it so it rings out - anyone who still believes in these turkeys are an insult to at least my intitution. Can't you see they caused the mess we are in, well they didn't directly, but it's people believing in what these lunatics say that causes the mess, the degeneracy. None of them stand for peace, none, not one. And to see perfectly intelligent people go along with following their every move and word is nauseating. Just sos you nose.

I wish someone would explain how a shot ear could heal in two weeks - and without any scarring.

Maybe Trump is Jesus 2.0 and this is a miracle?

Recent photos of Trump have raised eyebrows, particularly given his former doctor, Ronny Jackson's statements. The medical practitioner had previously stated that a bullet had severely damaged the ex-president's ear during the assassination attempt.

Despite Jackson's claims that the bullet had blown off part of Trump's ear, the new images of Trump meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu show no visible scarring or damage.

IMHO I don't think President Trump needs to debate 3 people again. Could he have answered better yes. As Dan Bongino said, elections are about Snap Shots and Sound Bites.VP Harris doesn't have any from this debate. I agree with Dan Bongino. #Trump 2024!!

What I have to say here will likely not be welcomed.

Well the problem to me is right there. From what I read here.

Harris is too much an unidentified something (corrupted and a-morale and brainless? A demon?) and Trump is too disgusting and unbearable and was not right for this and that and... So. Who is good enough/ in title to run this unrunnable country? Who is willing to try in good faith and with his heart? I suggest somebody take the job to try be better than this orange man. It is easy to criticize. Harder to take action. Just my honest opinion

PS

It is also healthier and more empowering to look at the positive actions of any leader. That is when there are some

On the contrary, all thoughts and comments are welcome here.

I agree that neither candidate is fit to be President. The point of this article was to point out how the rare opportunity to expose issues in an unscripted manner was squandered.

I don’t think I stooped to his level in this article. I thought my critique of the VP was fair and accurate. Please point out where you disagree.

I agree action is better than words. But words help to articulate what action should be taken. How else could this newsletter be used more effectively in your opinion?

I appreciate that you do not cut differing opinions on this substack.

My main points were:

I believe that Trump did an honest job and that his performance was probably the best he could do in the context of this sad and dishonest staging from start to finish.

Everyone was able to realize that this "debate" was not a debate, the dice being stacked from the start:

the visibly favorable bias of the 2 moderators towards Harris, who did not assume the expected position of impartial critics, but who ran to Harris' rescue whenever possible, even intervening directly in the exchanges to verbalize their "point of view" (which is not their role, let's agree), who let Harris express several lies without intervening, but who fack-checked Trump on most of his claims (later proven to be true); the staging and the blatant camera shots of favoritism towards the VP, etc. etc.

This debate was not an honest exchange, but a plot to demolish the Republican candidate, by any means possible. I suppose that it was impossible for Harris to win a debate by herself. So. She got a little help.

Trump will have realized that the exchanges would not be on an equal footing, between 2 candidates for the presidency, but that he had to defend himself against a powerful and dishonest machine.

Many have seen this.

So, in this context, I can understand that there were missed opportunities to expose the woman and score points.

I don't want to blame him.

I think that, in these troubled times, the major challenge for the US (and the rest of the world) is to get rid of this globalist and greedy cabal. In my humble opinion, the best person to do this was Kennedy. That won't be possible as we know.

The only option now is the Trump-Kennedy team. With all their weaknesses and shortcomings and imperfections, nothing could be worse than the status quo.

We must therefore help and support them as best we can.

Thank you for reading this.
