30 hours after publishing this article, my comment on YLE has hit 100 "likes" propelling it to the second most popular comment. (thanks to those of you who liked it).

We are running an interesting experiment. Dr. Jetelina has encouraged her following to listen and engage with humility and a sincere interest to those of us who have concerns about vaccines and the vaccine industry.

She has also cited RFK Jr. as a primary source of misinformation that drives vaccine skepticism. I made it clear that I represented his position. By refusing to respond despite the large interest in the comment it will be her hypocrisy that will speak for her. It may also expose the fact that many of those 280 thousand followers are silent observers or bots.

This was the only opposing response:

"You're the one making extraordinary claims here - it's up to you to substantiate them - which you aren't doing, it's not up to us to refute them. Yawn. Wake me up when you've got something."

which was offered by someone (or something) called "tkpwaeub", an account that was launched exactly a year ago and has a total of two subscribers.

The Daily Beagle took a hasher take on Katelyn (https://thedailybeagle.substack.com/p/substack-promotes-katelyn-jetelina). The biggest suspicion are the "paying subscribers" are mostly just government accounts (sock or otherwise) creating an artificial boost in Substack rankings to give more exposure to government propaganda talking points and to give the artificial perception of vaccine popularity (why would a full time paid government employee need 10k paying accounts anyway?). The growth is not natural, and when you count the number of likes versus the number of supposed paying subscribers you start to spot a discrepancy.

They will never address any rebuttals or criticisms because all they do is copy-paste talking points from pamphlets and gov documents. There's no original thinking processes to be had here.

100%!!! I wasted almost an hour one morning, looking up many (probably 50!) of the people who commented with flattery. All of them had empty profiles with very little activity whatsoever. Totally Fake!!! Contrast that with the profiles of those who comment openly across many of the so-called “anti-VAX” articles by Dr. Malone, Peter McCullough, Pierre Kory, Steve Kirsch, and so on and so on. Those profiles are rife with activity! It’s all a ruse!

People will always try to game a system. (Look what happened to Google!) I appreciate your vigilance in digging this up. Does Substack have any way of reporting potentially phony accounts? I get fed up with the click bait comments “[your cause here]… you must do this: [link to an ad].” It’s very easy to report these as spam, but I don’t see how you can easily flag phony comments/profiles without stepping on free speech issues.

Expand full comment

Financially it makes sense for Substack to allow government accounts (sock or otherwise!) to 'game the system' because they receive part of the paying subscriber fee. Substack could implement a Terms of Service that prohibits gamification of their services, but Substack wouldn't have a financial incentive to do this with. My handful of paying subscribers wouldn't make up for a 10k paying subscriber loss, and it would be difficult to enforce as astroturf accounts get more sophisticated.

Most likely, it'd only lead to the suspension of a limited number of accounts, including genuine ones. For example, what if the government decided to flood a genuine Substacker with 10k bots and then self-report the bot activity trying to close down the Substacker's account?

I'm more concerned Substackers with legitimate activity are being artificially bumped down. Whenever I check the 'top 10 Substacks', the discrepancy in numbers is in nearly every Substacker I see.

The system needs a ratio metric; likes+comments compared to number of subscribers. A system to determine actual engagement, and not merely 'numbers go brr'.

Expand full comment

I just posted the same thing about the “ratio.” It’s an important metric and Substack should offer it to its subscribers in some form.

Would be amazing if "Daily Beagle" could do a "Cliff Notes" version of that article and copy/paste it into the comments section of every article Jetelina posts - and maybe all the recent past ones as well!!!

Dr. Setty, you are too kind. Katelyn Jetelina IS A GOVERNMENT CONTRACTOR. She is a shill for the establishment and an astroturfed “bestseller” on Substack, promoted by Substack editorials. This is how it’s done: a CDC employee, Katelyn, one day “resigns”, becomes a contractor, gets ghost CDC flunkies re-write CDC bullshit in the format of Substack posts in English and Spanish, and the US Gov IT contractors create thousands of online bots laundering $5/month to her as the form of compensation, while writing gushing comments pretending she has legitimate large following. All perfectly legal. Welcome to free speech world.

Sasha- First, Thank you for all the amazing stuff you have been putting out there over the last four years. I've learned a ton from you.

Second, what you are suggesting feels right. However I have two points. Even if her substack is supported by a hundred thousand bots, there are probably at least that many who are real people who think they are being educated. Those are the ones I want to reach. Why? Because ultimately we have to change public opinion. That is what led to these election results. There is no reason to take our foot off the gas.

While you may be right about her real loyalties, coming at her and her audience with that attitude will result in a wholesale rejection of my entire position.

People like you are at the leading edge of this referendum on public health. The vast majority of people are just starting to open their eyes to the possibility that our government may have made a mistake. Those are the ones we need to hasten to awake.

My point here is that even with a hundred thousand bots, she has also gathered another hundred thousand minds that can be addressed. So much easier to drop some basic truths in front of them than writing a two dozen articles for the choir. We can use her to bring a ton of people over to our side.

Thanks for the comment

Thank you Dr. Setty. As I said you are very kind. You want to reach the people who refuse to be reached. I hope you will prevail. Best Regards.

For Sasha, as much as I know there are some who will stubbornly dig their heels into a position until they die, over the past few years I’ve witnessed miraculous changes in people’s perceptions who I never thought I’d see that from. This has restored some of my belief in the idea that redemption is available for all of us. Thus, I appreciate Madhava taking time from his busy schedule to both continue informing those of us who are awakening and “fighting the good fight” with work like he’s doing in the Comments sections of content creators who continue to misinform folks. That sort of work takes both an open and persistent heart, so I applaud him (and followed his request to go “like” the comment).

Anyway, to finish positively toward you, Sasha (not that I meant any of this negatively), I didn’t know your work but Madhava, whose work I’ve come to DEEPLY respect over the past few years, paid you a lovely compliment so I’m going to go check your stuff out. Keep it up!

Wow what an awesome comment - I can’t believe she didn’t delete it. I’ll find out when I go there to “like” it. Just want to add to point #7 - yes they’re buying positive media coverage but more importantly preventing any negative news stories or investigations. Aren’t you surprised when you occasionally come across news stories from the 70s/80s that are critical of vaccines or medicines? The ability of pharma, by executive order in 1995, to advertise sealed the deal for complete control of the narrative. They own the government agencies & the media. The dam is breaking via substack, podcasts & X. Trump/RFK are hopefully going to get the flood waters to run free!

Just read a bunch of the comments & I am confused as to how these peoples minds work - or are not working. One woman said she was a Phd & did a deep dive into vaccines & their history etc. Yet she came out as a staunch supporter of them & is fearful for what will become of our country’s health….what on earth was she reading or was this a fake commenter?? The Phd of course is the key because I know that I can’t read or research without a PhD, 🙄

Yup. The problem is that people in the system only read material that comes from the system so they end up agreeing with the system. The only way to disrupt the system is to engage in open forum. This is the value of this platform.

I always questioned why the most educated & I believed intelligent people fell for the whole covid scam - masks, 6 feet apart, not immune even after infection etc. Logically so much of this made zero sense yet they went along like unthinking sheep. A friend’s son attended a very exclusive k-8 school where they start languages immediately & take field trips to France - not just private but intelligent kids. Her stories of how insane they were with covid protocols (requiring mask wearing while you were in your own car at drop off/pick up) didn’t make sense as these were children of primarily doctors & people of high financial means. I finally came across the reason why the highly credentialed & “educated” individuals are ardent followers - it’s because their identity is entwined with their education/degrees/designations. To question the institutions that give them their sense of status would be to question their very own identity/standing. These are not individual critical thinkers but insecure people afraid of losing the status they created in their own heads!

Spot on. These folks identify as educated intellectuals and they would not know who they are if they had the courage to question their made up identity. Terrified.

which vaccines are trouble ? I've had a few polio mumps and whatever they gave in the 50's and 60's never had a reaction . can you point me to some research ?

Expand full comment

I "never had a reaction either." Then, I finally reacted. Mentally. Because, I noticed that I am Autistic (yeah, I capitalize it... when you have met one autistic person you have met one autistic person... ). I did not discover this until I was 40 or 50 yrs. Then heard about vaccines being related to autism. That there could be a connection between those two. I had no wish to consider that I could have a connection like that, though. Finally there did come my (mental) reaction, as the thought emerged: "Hey." What if all those shots made me Autistic? That "reaction" took about twenty years to arrive at. Science ain't easy. Now I see a connection --- possible connection. So my "view" is different. The facts never changed in all the 69 years I have been alive.

It is wonderful that you take the time to read her work and respond. I had to stop reading her articles out of sheer shock and frustration. I initially thought she wrote satire as the amount of deference to the medical establishment and so-called experts was over the top. When I realized she was a real doctor, I was both offended and baffled by her ignorance. That quickly turned to anger as I realized how many people she was continuing to mislead with her “expertise”. The last article of hers I read was one where she encouraged everyone to get boosted. That was it for me. I almost subscribed just to comment but decided against it. And that brings me to your article and comment. Thank you thank you! I pray you are able to reach even just one of her readers. Brilliant comment and strategy.

I, and probably most of the public, also learned some more things about vaccines very, very quickly:

1. Most of the decline in a disease occurred far earlier than the vaccine introduction.

2. The adjuvants are very problematic, aluminum in particular in many instances: we now know that my SIL became mentally handicapped through the smallpox vaccination in the late 1960. The doctors covered this up by suspecting a defect caused by her forceps delivery- not that that resulted in any compensation.

Decades later, one doctor took an MRI, saw no harm, investigated further and that vaccination came then up as the by far most likely cause.

No compensation, of course.

3. Vaccines for children are not tested on children, but on adults.

4. Vaccines are not tested against a placebo, but against another vaccine.

5. The mRNA/DNA stuff are NOT vaccines, but gene therapies (applied to the vaccine concept as per Robert Malone's definition).

6. They also fulfilled NONE of the 4 generally accepted main criteria for a successful vaccine candidate (Paul Cullen article Muenster 2020).

When I saw my GP to get a mask exemption in July 2020, just before the authorities clamped down on that and started to prosecute doctors who issued them, I ran some of these basics by him. He had absolutely no clue and/but made a fortune when the mass gene therapization started. I haven't seen him again and won't.

A few vaccines might still make some sense in the 3rd world, and one must remain open to future really thoroughly tested real breakthroughs.

But in our family, we are done with them.

Here is my note with the restack:

According to this post, YLE is interested in listening and building bridges to improve public health, yet only allows paid subscribers to comment. So I have to repost in order to respond as I will not be giving any money to this publication that is concerned about the finances of Children’s Health Defense, a non profit organization, but has no such qualms about the billion dollar pharmaceutical companies who have zero liability for certain products they produce.

This post purports to calm the fears of readers as we enter into some dystopian dark age, but instead inflames them with the underlying subtext of worry, concern and collapse. Indeed, a large portion of the comments on this post express their utter terror at the mere fact of an election result they somehow didn’t anticipate.

Everyone knows fear and stress inhibits our bodies’ ability to function properly and is deleterious to good health. Yet, this is the overarching message from media and public health: be afraid of what’s coming. These people don’t really understand what creates good health or they don’t care.

I'd like you to point out to her audience that the fact that the CDC did not inform the public that if someone had had Covid already they did not need to get vaccinated was not because there has ever been any question that natural immunity re Covid is superior or at the least equal to vaccine conferred immunity. There is no question that that is the case. Logic should tell us that that is the case because vaccines use the same mechanism as natural immunity -the body"s immune system- to trigger an mmune response to a pathogen. The only question is whether the immune response is to a pathogen that the body may actually be exposed to. With natural immunity this is not in doubt as the body is responding to the actual pathogen, hence natural immunity is the gold standard. The reason the CDC have continued to pretend the issue of natural vs vaccine immunity (& even vs "hybrid" immunity- God help us all with this insanity) is "unsettled " is because, for some reason about which we can only speculate, the CDC wanted EVERYONE to get vaccinated. As for vaccine induced immunity to Covid we all know that this was extremely poor & very short lived, if indeed it existed at all. My personal view is that tthe vaccine was of zero benefit: there was merely either no affect or negative affect. Even if a vaccine does induce an immune response with some benefit the only advantage is that it provides a head start which is considered beneficial because the body takes time - several days- to fully develop an immune response if you are moderately healthy this won't be a problem. A head start. Yes, all that risk & that is all you get.

It's totally crazy that the CDC did that!
